Thanks to Eric Vanem from Oslo Aikido Klubb and his students, we could meet and practice under the guidance of Kuribayashi Takanori Shihan from Aikikai Honbu Dojo in Tokyo.
It was an inspiring seminar with a lot of remarkable teachings like the following:
„Remember, we as human beings have all the same potential, also in Aikido. We all have the same amount of bones, muscles or organs for instance. To enfold our full potential we have to clear all layers of rubbish what covers our pure self. Rubbish like knowledge, fear, doubt, ignorance, and so on…“
Congratulations to the people of Oslo Aikido Club and the Norwegian Aikido for a very well organized and successful seminar.

Report from Kuribayashi seminar
A big event in Norwegian aikido took place in Oslo on the weekend 31 Oct. – 2 Nov 2014. Upon the invitation from Oslo Aikido Dojo, Kuribayashi sensei, 7. dan aikikai, visited to give a seminar for all Norwegian aikidoka, as well as guests from abroad. He came directly from Hombu Dojo in Tokyo – the World’s aikido headquarter – where he is a regular instructor. This was a unique opportunity for us to practice under the direction of one of the best aikido instructors in the world.
The seminar turned out to be a great success with many participants from Norway and abroad. In total, about 150 participants came by, with approximately 100 practitioners on each class. There were practitioners from all over the country and we had the pleasure to welcome visitors from 10 foreign countries to Oslo for this weekend of aikido.
